The text of the curator:

"Mom's room smells like milk. Mom keeps children's drawings. Mom decorates the children's room. Mom puts the toys in a box. Mom washes the dirty stuff, sews up the torn one. Mom is sighing. Mom is smiling. Mom is crying. Mom is stretching with her eyes closed. Mom doesn't have enough time. Mom is leaving an unfinished mug and a half-eaten sandwich. An unfinished film. An unfinished half-done embroidery»

Description:

The exhibition took place in September 2023 and included works united by the themes of childhood, motherhood and women's labor. The works were discreetly integrated into the living space to create the image of an interior decorated with women's handicrafts. I decided not to use any labels because it is strange in a really rooms. Visitors were offered a printed guide to the exhibition, which contained texts accompanying the works, as well as their catalog data.

The "Penelope" and "Invisible Embroidery" series of embroideries were washed and hung to dry on the staircases and balcony. The project "Embroidery according to patterns" was placed as decorations on shelves and walls. Most of the embroideries were hidden behind the doors of slightly open cabinets. Textile sculptures were incorporated into the interior as children's toys and a still life on the dining table. Both main exhibition spaces (children's and adult's bedrooms) included a soundtrack in which the artist was reading out loud her diary entries.
