Curator: Elmira Minkina and Textura gallery
Space: Gallery "Na Kashirke", Moscow
The text of the curator:
The name of the project presents a kind of an attempt to combine a certain number of different elements. In this case, the common denominator is textiles as the thematic specialization of the "Textura" gallery and the medium of contemporary art with the participants' works, one space for four and the desire for interdisciplinarity and expanding the creative range.
At the same time, the common denominator simultaneously serves as a starting point for a closer look at each of the artists. Who are they? What topics are they interested in and what do they want to say? What techniques are used? Where did they study? Who were they before they started "working as artists"? What place does textiles occupy in their works and where do they want to go next?
The answers to all these questions are the particulars. Each of them becomes a line in the CV, manifests itself in artistic practice and strives to find an interlocutor. And it finds it - under the title of this text and in the exhibition hall itself, embodied in collaborative work.
The next stage is meeting with the viewer. Meet Inna Grishechkina, Masha Kashtanova, Evgenia Tut and Marina Pakhotina. Try after learning their "particulars" to notice what they have in common - with each other and with you.
