Кураторский текст:
Do you remember getting lost in your mother's room? Or smelling the comforting fragrance from her blanket and her neatly made bed every day? Do you still remember? Or have you now become a mother yourself?

Mom’s Room is a solo exhibition by Inna Grishechkina (b.1985) that brings together themes of childhood, motherhood, and women's work. This exhibition subtly integrates Inna's works into the living space she created, providing a cozy environment crafted by a woman's hands.

The experience of motherhood has profoundly influenced Inna's art practice. As a mother for ten years and a mother of three, Inna has been actively involved in the art world throughout this time. This dual role of women as artists and artists as mothers forms the main theme of her work.

Inna also frequently highlights the theme of childhood, believing it to be a special time that significantly shapes an artist's worldview. Her childhood memories are crucial to her creations.

Inna's artistic journey includes graduating from the Department of Art at Smolensk State University, moving to St. Petersburg in 2011 to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, and graduating from the Faculty of Contemporary Art at Sreda Obuchenia in Moscow in 2020. She was a resident artist at Gallery 22 in 2022 and at Textura Gallery in Moscow. Since 2022, she has been living in Bali, Indonesia.

Inna created this room as a cozy space for all mothers. When we first met, we talked about her hometown and her decision to leave her home in Russia. There are moments that make us realize something important.

Enter this mother's room and try to understand what has been lost from this space and what has been found.

Inna Grishechkina’s works have endured winters, wars between countries, foreign cultures, and thousands of kilometers. Like many other mothers, Inna is willing to go far from home to raise her beloved children.

Her work embodies the essence of women's labor, which can only be truly appreciated if one listens
